Polyester Cotton Fabric (PC/TC)

Polyester–cotton woven fabric in standard or custom blend ratios, yarn counts, weaves, weights, colours, finishes and performance levels.

Polyester Cotton Fabric (PC/TC)

Polyester–cotton fabric can be engineered as a polyester-rich TC construction, a balanced blend or a cotton-rich CVC construction. The polyester/cotton ratio, carded or combed yarn, ring-spun or open-end route, warp and weft count, thread density, weave, GSM, usable width, colour, dye system and functional finish can be matched to a sample, technical sheet or end-use performance target.

Polyester–cotton textile development

Custom PC, TC and Cotton-Rich Fabric Constructions

Polyester–cotton blends can be adjusted across polyester-rich, balanced and cotton-rich constructions. Ratios such as 80/20, 70/30, 65/35, 60/40 and 50/50 are useful starting points, but the final blend should be selected together with the yarn count, weave, weight and intended garment performance.

Because polyester and cotton accept different dye classes, the dyeing route is chosen for both fibres and the required colourfastness. Disperse/reactive, disperse/vat, yarn-dyed and selected solution-dyed component programs can be evaluated against the requested shade and end use.

What buyers should specify

  • Polyester/cotton percentage and fibre quality
  • Warp and weft yarn count, ply and spinning route
  • Ends per unit, picks per unit and weave
  • GSM, usable width and dimensional tolerances
  • Colour standard, dye route and colourfastness
  • Strength, shrinkage and required functional finishes

Uniform and coverall use

Plain, twill, drill and ripstop constructions can be developed for shirts, trousers, uniforms and non-FR coveralls. A flame-retardant finish can be evaluated separately when the buyer requires a treated FR fabric.

Polyester–cotton fabric questions

Which polyester/cotton ratios are available?

Standard and buyer-specified ratios are available. The percentage is confirmed together with the yarn, construction, GSM, finish and measurable performance requirements.

Can the warp and weft be specified separately?

Yes. Warp and weft yarn count, fibre blend, thread density and strength targets can be defined separately when the construction requires it.

Can waterproof and flame-retardant finishes be added?

Water-repellent, coated and flame-retardant finish options can be evaluated. The selected treatment must be checked against the required hand feel, breathability, durability and test method.

Important specification note

Options shown are representative. Final material, dimensions, performance level, standard, testing, marking and documentation are confirmed against the buyer’s written requirement before supply.
